If you are looking to get connected here at HOPE Church, then our HOPEgatherings are a great first step! These mid-sized community groups (15-40 people) meet weekly. Think of a small church experience within a large church community. Each group is unique, but the core experience is the same – spiritual growth in the context of community. Highly relational, Biblical, and a great way to connect with other sojourners of the faith. Check out the following HOPEgatherings:
ReFrame (Wednesdays at 6:30pm – open to all adults): According to a recent LeTourneau University study only 30% of churched adults can clearly see how their work can serve God or a higher purpose, while more than 66% struggle to feel a connection between what they believe with what they do daily. This is a significant disconnect considering that the majority of our “awake” hours are spent pursuing various vocations. ReFrame addresses this challenge through a 10-week, film-based experience that helps Christians connect faith with all of life; whether that be tending a garden, caring for children, swinging a hammer, or negotiating a business deal. Join us for Reframe beginning 6:30pm on Wednesday, September 20th in our Adult Ministry Center. Led by Pastor Steve Grosz.
Teach us to Want (Wednesdays at 6:30pm – open to all women): How do we reconcile the longings in our hearts with the God we’re called to follow? Is it true that the hardest, least desirable choice is the most obviously holy? Is it true that personal desire must never be trusted? Jen Pollock Michel will show Biblically how it’s not only OK to name and voice our desires—it’s actually holy to. When we freely let God know our desires and allow them to be informed by Scripture and re-formed by our spiritual practices, we’ll discover a God more loving and generous than we can ever imagine. This study begins on 6:30pm on Wednesday, September 20thin our Adult Ministry Center. Led by Anna Mosher and Corinne Seay.
Book of James (Sundays at 9am – open to all adults): Francis Chan unpacks the dense truths contained in the book of James in front of the iconic backdrop of San Francisco, the city where he lives and ministers. Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life. Sundays at 9am in the Adult Ministry Center Starting Sept 17th. Led by Pastor Patrick and Jason Heydt.

Take it to the Limit (Sundays at 10:30am – open to all adults): Our culture encourages us to live as if we have no limits. So we fill our schedules and empty our bank accounts. We do as much as we can, spend as much as we can, and acquire as much as we can—all in an effort to get as much as we can out of life. In this six-part study, Andy Stanley explains that that the secret to getting more out of life is not doing more, but doing less. Starts September 17th on Sundays at 10:30am in the Adult Ministry Center. Led by Sandy Slaughter.
