Thursday - Thanksgiving

2 Corinthians 9:12-15
12 "This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!"

We live in a country blessed with abundant resources and opportunities, yet often divided by politics, personal beliefs, and misunderstandings. It seems harder than ever to have meaningful conversations without encountering name-calling, hostility, or deception. As negativity surrounds us, it can blind us to the many reasons we have to be thankful. How can we truly meet the needs of God’s people if we fail to recognize His gifts to us?

Take a moment to pause and see how God is working. Churches are filling with people praising and thanking Him for His goodness. Believers are giving generously to meet the needs of others. These acts of service flow from hearts that understand God’s indescribable grace. When we know how much we’ve been given, gratitude overflows, and we are moved to share with others.

Paul reminds us that our service has ripple effects. It doesn’t just meet immediate needs—it points others to Christ. When we live out our faith through obedience and generosity, others will praise God and thank Him for what He’s doing through us. Their hearts will be touched, and their prayers will be filled with thanksgiving for the surpassing grace of God.

When we focus on what God has done for us, our list of blessings grows infinitely longer. Our hearts fill with gratitude, and our generosity becomes a testimony of God’s love. As we share His blessings, we glorify God and invite others into the joy of His indescribable gift.

Take time today to pray with thanksgiving. Reflect on the countless blessings God has poured into your life. Thank Him for His indescribable grace and for the opportunity to serve others through His generosity. Pray for a heart that overflows with gratitude and for a life that points others to His goodness and love. Ask God to use your thankfulness to bring hope and encouragement to those around you.
