CARE MINISTRY

WE CARE, AND WE’RE HERE

During hard times in life we need all the love and support we can get - both from God and others. HOPE's Care Ministry provides a network of ministries, helpful resources, and trained volunteers to help others move forward. If you would like to serve in any of these areas please contact Jody at jlarson@gfhope.org.

Support Groups: You never know what life is going to throw at you and many of us end up in a place we didn’t intend to be in. If you need help getting back on track or need to talk to people who are going through similar situations we would love to invite you to join us to attend whichever support group fits your situation.

Hospitality for funerals: Providing food (buns, bars, chips, etc.), setting up and tearing down tables, assisting with food preparation and clean up.

Prayer quilt ministry: Provides prayer quilts to people going through difficult times. There are always tasks to be completed and there is no experience required.

Prayer team: Provides prayer and comfort at various times throughout the week: Sunday services, alter calls, Thursday night Support Groups, and special events.

Visitation team: This team visits people who are homebound, in the nursing home or hospital. If you wish to request a visit please contact the office at 701.772.1884.

Care Center & Food Pantry: The Care Center & Food Pantry provides food, emergency services and life skills classes to help members of the community get back on their feet. Please see the Care Center website for more details.

Senior Adult Resources: If you or someone you know needs help researching available care options and programs that can help maintain independence and quality of life, this free resource provides comprehensive information on topics like financial support and care options that are available in every city and state across the country.

Benevolence: Assisting the Director of Congregational Care in meeting with clients to help them financially.  Must have social work experience.
